World Class Diving in Timor Leste
At Compass Diving, we take our customers on exclusive ocean experiences around Timor-Leste, the hidden gem of South East Asia. Bound to impress any adventurous traveller and ocean lover, our world class diving is set in one of the most biodiverse marine environments on the planet: Atauro Island.
The waters around Timor-Leste are unique, given the depths, currents and topography surrounding us. In 2016 a team from Conservation International recorded a higher fish biodiversity here than anywhere else in the world – more than 4500 species of fish! You can expect to dive on pristine coral reefs, deep walls, pinnacles, enjoy exhilarating drift dives and exciting muck diving.
It’s not just the diving that is special in Timor-Leste, the Wetar and Ombai straight’s are known as a Cetacean super highway with over 20 species of dolphins and whales residing and migrating through these waters, often forming superpods of over 1000 individuals!
